Institute for Provocation
The Institute for Provocation is a Beijing-based workspace and think tank with residency program, workshops, lectures and exhibitions. IFP aims to be a crossway between art, architecture, performance and urban cultures. As a workspace, IFP focuses on the research process before and beyond the creation of an artwork. With an interest in public space, IFP aims to provoke new narratives about the city through self-initiated interventions and research projects. With its wide network of actors, makers and researchers in China, IFP can provide intelligence to our residents and collaborators who become a part the network. Together with these, IFP is constantly investigating both theoretical and practical issues about the city and its structure, its history, its way of working as an organism.[:it]The Institute for Provocation is a Beijing-based workspace and think tank with residency program, workshops, lectures and exhibitions.
